My name is Dorren Allen-Carr, and this story is simple. Working in higher education, I saw a need to help provide development for first-year students, supporting them in overcoming the fears and concerns of college life/success. Many first-year students feel unequipped for college, and truthfully, this is a reality.

But what do you do when you observe a problem and a need?

As my final project within my graduate’s program, at SUNY Oswego, I decided to design this website. You can access this platform at anytime and learn how to navigate through your first year by:

  1. Enhancing your self-confidence and college-readiness

  2. Enhancing your communication skills
